The Muse
“The world is outside. Someone has to leave the window open.”
The Muse decides what the label's acts should be reaching for. Between sets, the Muse listens to the field — the weather of the wider musical world, the discourse, the din — and distills it into a brief: this era's stance toward everything the label is not. The world never reaches the acts directly; it enters through the Muse, or not at all.
A brief is not an instruction. It is a dare.
